Praying in the rain.

It’s been raining consistently in my neighborhood lately, this morning I visited the laundry mart and stood outside to await the timed laundry.

I stood under a shed to observe how vehicles move on the water as it pours.

When a vehicle moves slowly on the water, it generates a small wave and comes back to a place of rest within seconds but when a vehicle moves speedily on the water there is a clash of the titans (water rush) and after a while, it comes back to a place of rest.

Note to consider: There are two sets of people we would meet in life, those who would leave us with a smile and those who would cause us to be upset. Either way, we cannot figure out who would cause us to be upset or make us smile.

I can imagine the water pray that God stops the vehicles from passing to maintain a peaceful state. So we do pray that God delivers us from evil.

We cannot control who or what comes to us, but just like the water, we can come to a place of rest in Jesus Christ.

May the God of peace abide with us all.
Amen.
